It’s not so wondering to see #Harry Potter topping the list of trending topic on Twitter today. Everybody on Twitter seems to be talking today on the midnight showing of Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince. Twitter is full of messages like:

going to watch Harry Potter this weekend,
some body know where can I wacth #Harry Potter on the net?
I just took the “Which Harry Potter Character Are You?” quiz and got: Hagrid! Try it:
Can’t wait to see Harry Potter this weekend!!
And endless messages that appears in bundles at each refresh. It’s not only the Real Shaq or Mrs Kutcher, who are utilizing this micro-blogging platform to attract their fans but now Hollywood Producers and distributors have also started utilizing this platform to create buzz for their movie.
According to its distributor Warner Bros., the sixth installment of “Harry Potter” series has raked in $22.2 million from its midnight screenings in North America, which is $10 million more than what “Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix” earned from midnight shows which took place in the same Wednesday slot.
It is definitely not possible to measure the exact amount of revenue Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince will bag because of the buzz created on twitter but definitely if every buzz is assigned a $1 value then #Harry Potter will be making something close to $1 Million in couple of weeks.
Just before I logged in to my twitter account I was going through a NewsPaper article that reads “flutter in tech world: Teen researchers says twitter is uncool”. I really liked the article and research and thought may be next time when I have to promote a product online meant for teens, I will give preference to Facebook over Twitter.
Now when I see #Harry Potter topping the trend, it can be certainly said Harry Potter magic not only rules the teens but also the matured genres of Twitter. The live magic of Harry potter is seen on Twitter from last Midnight .
